I've been wanting this Rock Island E60CP for my collection for a long time, and I finally found one at a good price.

Wow! Take a ride on the Rock! With real cat, too. I went through three of these things in my obsession. The pinion gear kept going out and had problems with brushes. Eventually managed to chop of a BB chassis and cram it together for a good running unit. Beautiful shot.

My LOTW will be a two-fer special, featuring my brand new equipment. My first new addition is Mantua Great Northern Mikado.
Lately I've been collecting enjoying later year Mantua equipment.
Secondly I also added a couple new variations of TYCO Santa Fe F9s, including this very clean Chrome Tyco F9.

Always love a calf. Very nice. Awesome Mike.
As to the P^L, I initially bought a custom painted set from Tin Plate Henry, and then later found come companion pieces at an El Paso junk shop.
A-A-Ron and I had a discussion if it was a real railroad, There is a Paducah and Louisville Railway, a short line, but the livery is totally different, so we figured this to be a one off. A-ARon ran with it and came up with the Plainview and Lubbock, also fictitious.

Gonna double-dip this week, with 2 custom Ephrata Valley RR locomotives.
Up first is Alco C628 #628, made by the one and only Aaron Anderson - this locomotive was salvaged from 2 parts locomotives.
and 2nd is EVRR passenger 4-6-2 #54, my third and last custom Mantua Pacific steam locomotive, now with a custom brass pilot.

Is that two C430s put together? Both engines look sharp! I'm enjoying all the custom stuff here.

It's an AHM/Mehano/RSO/Life-like (Just pick whatever 80s model train brand you please they probably had it, yes even tyco by the end) Alco C628.

Exactly Aaron - that C628 mold was pretty common.
I meant that it was cobbled together from 2 for-parts C628's, specifically the drive system.
Thanks!

Ohhhhhh. I read it thinking Aaron had spliced a pair of C430s together. I was staring at the screen looking for a body line where the two bodies had been joined together.
