So, I recently picked up this strange tender drive Fleischmann 0-8-0 painted in NYC scheme. Apparently, these are fairly rare and were only made in 1967 and 1968 for the US market. It runs pretty good, although the traction tires on it are starting to show their age, although it can still pull a few cars alright. You can kind of see the box I got with it in the background. Took a little bit to fix some cogging due to carpet fluff getting jammed up into the valve gear, but now it runs fairly well.Got this thing for $40.

That is a super interesting piece, Steve. I've got two
Flieschmann, Fleshman, however you say it, coaches myself. I love thembecause they are a bit odd.

Your piece looks like a cross between something East German
and American. Is there really a prototype for this piece?
