now that its Christmas
here is a Marx wind-up set from the 1970s I got from the original owner for $2!


Said it was his as a child

& just for fun these High Speed N scale cars from Reader's Digest

paid $1 for the set

They fit on N-Scale track properly, but they don't really work, as the couplers are fixed, and aren't spring-loaded like most "real" N-Scale couplers.

It’s really cool to see the SCL car in that set. The SCL and I grew up together, but you seldom see SCL represented in train sets of any ilk, probably because it wasn’t very interesting visually.

I think these are LL. The AHM ones with the added on roof walks were going for $40 a smack
last time I looked, unboxed, if you could find them. These much cheaper, but satisfy my sweet
tooth.

Those are either Marx or Model Power, Chops. The tooling was originally Marx, later used by Model Power.
