Until last night, I never knew that AHM had several really nice building kits. I always knew they had some of the same kits as Tyco but some of the others are pretty impressive! Another one is the Bakery!

The amount of detail in these AHM kits was amazing. The versatility was great, too. Challenging kits, without being overwhelming.
This is my Weekly Herald on the trolley layout, "Smeltertown." It is loosely modeled off the El Paso Electric Railway circa 1968. I have kind of a love-hate relationship with El Paso. I love it because it has been home these last 30 plus years, and all the people I know are mostly here, hate because it is a nuclear blast furnace in mid-summer. It is hot the way Roosevelt is cold. On the other hand, little creeks and a nice little lake in the mountains can be found within a two hour drive, and heat you can escape by jumping in the water, cold is something that you have to retreat from.
I just noticed something, is that Walt's Studebaker in the foreground?

Roosevelt does get nice during the summer. That's one nice thing about Minnesota. The winters are a royal BLARX but the summers are great.

Cool AHM kits!
My BOTW is a TycoKit I've been looking for, for a while. It is the Repair Shop, only cataloged in 1976, and is rather hard to find. This one was under 20 bucks, shipped, and already assembled. I think all it is missing is a few doors, but is otherwise in great shape.

The Studebaker , Chops! AND I like your AHM weekly Herald building. I have been tossing around the Idea of the herald and the Bakery kits. But I would have to find/make a place for them! Nice repair shop RP! I've seen that one from time to time over the years but didn't know Tyco only cataloged it one year...

For reference RP, how tall of a car can fit through the door of that thing?

Well....LOL, the biggest train car that can actually fit into the shop is a mere flatcar, without a load.
