My latest building project has been this Tyco Sanding Station, which I modified for the Ephrata Valley Railroad by cutting the sand-box in half to make it smaller. I still have to fit it on the layout (hopefully.)

I like that sand house and have one, too. It looks to be patterned after one in Chama, NM. That pipe coming out the top of the sand silo on the tower originally went up through a hole in the sand house roof and made two 90 degree bends to go down into the top of the sand silo. The sand was blown up through the pipe by compressed air, somehow. You could probably replace the broken one with a wire one fairly easily.

I did have the plastic pipe - I wonder if it came off. If so, I should be able to use wire. Eventually, I'll finish it.

I have always liked this Sandhouse. But being that I have no Steamers, (or room) I have never bought the kit.

Just thought I would do this building thing. The pic of sealed buildings was taken in 1999. The Built kits photos was taken in the year 2000. Had these things a long time!

Nice kitbash, RP. Wonderful collection, Walt. Mike strikes again!
So, I took my umpteenth picture of the Whistle Stop Cafe, a piece that accelerated my slide down the slope. Looking at the photo, I now see that to maintain the integrity of the layout, I shall be removing all vehicles that are NOT of Anderson Paint Shops, excepting some vintage pieces from RP, which will be left untouched.
But most everything else will go, unless it gets an APS treatment, first.
