My COTW offering is this classic Bachmann Penn Salt tanker. A lot of vintage Bachmann train cars were really well-made, solid rolling stock.

I do believe, at lest for a time, those Toys 'R' Us box cars were high dollar collector items. The reefer version is not. I do like the vintage GN box, and the classic flats, with brake stanchions (hurray for break stanchions!) are sweet Tyco.

I wonder how many of us got hooked starting with the Tyco Tractor Flat? The painted on treads, the bold colors and silver motors, did the trick for me, back in the day. Little did I know I was going to end up a Tyco Man for life.
