My COTW offering is the Tyco Virginian cupola caboose. Yes, I finally got one, for 7 bucks!

I always had it mind that a good Tyco Virginian was a rare find. Here a Campbell's Tomatoe Soup Car is pressed into service.

Here is my HObbyline CONOCO tank car that was seen in 2 different catalogs but seems never released. I made it from a yellow shell oil tank car kit which is a HObbyline car. I found a Champ decal set on eBay and lettered the car body. It is the same type of lettering seen on the car in the 1954 and 1956 catalogs.

My brand new (to me) Lima Heinz car. Thanks to RP, I now have a pretty unique piece for my small Heinz collection.

My grandmother, and my wife's grandfather both worked at the local Heinz plant, so I'm very happy to have this car.

Some excellent stuff this week.

I'll follow Toptrain's Conoco tanker (which looks great BTW) with another early piece. I don't know the maker off hand. Metal body and trucks with wood floor. The roof walks look a little...uhh...silly. One day I'll fix them.

DaCheese, Eric The car is an Athearn one metal line car. On HOseeker it is in the early 1950 catalogs. You will probably see it in the 1952 or 1953 catalog. I don't know when they switched to plastic cars.

Thanks for the info, Frank! Yup, I think I see them in the '53 catalog. Athearn "Round Roofers".
