Wow, the echo of that whistle gave me goose bumps. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the D&S go so fast. I remember it
plonking along at 25, that looked to be at least 35, if not 40?

No that's the real speed we actually paced it for a minute and it was going about 30 at one point

they finished restoring the locomotive about a year ago and they also converted it to oil

It's their only k-37 so one of their biggest locomotives that they own. the k-37s were actually converted from some baldwin standard gauge 2-8-0s.
