Yes, they had the U.S -1 also. This one was just the common tyco brown box and i chose to paint it in the colors seen here. It should be interesting detailed with a bunch of Tyco piggybacks around it...

Nice variant from the previous week- this one has orangish trim.
A close up from one favorite buildings, from RP Model Railroads, the Miracle Motor Show Room. That would have to be, "If it runs, itsa Miracle!

Thanks guys! That's not an easy one to find. Guy didn't even want to sell it to me. he thought the pieces I picked up didn't make for a complete building.

I've posted this before, but may as well add to the Mirror Motors trend this week. Definitely one of my favourite kits, second only to the Plasticville Motel.

Dacheeze, I too like the motel kit from back when I was young. I have one now. I'm just curious of what makes it your favorite kit. Maybe you could share a photo of yours... Your dealership building is great! And so is Gary B's !And Chops!! ALL of you guys buildings are nice and they are all a tribute of what model railroading can be...

Thanks Gary! Your kit looks good too, a little more realistic than mine I think. It looks like something that would blend right in to a grungy city scene. I also like Chops' example with the cheesy plastic bushes. My kit was missing bushes, so I opted for the WS stuff.
Walt, I really like mid-century design and architecture. The motel is a cool little example of that style and I like how versatile the kit is.

Da Cheez, I really like that rocket on the motel sign. The retro-futuristic look brings back memories of my space-age (or was it atomic-age?) childhood.

The rocket sign is a 3D print. I think it goes well with the style of the motel. Gotta love space age stuff! I've seen pictures of old parks with rocket-shaped play structures that I'm wondering if I can re-create and cram in to the layout somewhere...
Thanks Chops! The first track directly behind the motel is actually just the trolley line looping back, but there is a third track on the other side of the layout which will allow for two train operation if my planned expansion ever happens!

Nice Motel example, Cheeze. I too have always thought it was a neat building, even though it is not flashy!
