Got an old flat car years ago that had it's original pipe with it. Someone had painted the pipe silver I guess for a more realistic appearance. Last night I thought I would try to remove it with model paint thinner. It had no effect. I went out to the shop and got my thinner that I use on car painting hoping that it would not damage or ruin the plastic. In just seconds the silver was coming off. It worked perfectly. I have the correct red pipes.

Awesome Walt! Great to see the original Tyco red pipes being brought back to life. Please post pics of your flat cat with red pipes - would love to see it.
