Tonight I decided to take a perfectly good engine off of my parts table once and for all. I lubed up the gears, and sure enough this LifeLike Santa Fe "Blue&Yellow Warbonnet" GP38-2 diesel locomotive is still running strong!! It is missing a small section out of the front driver's side handrail, and the nose decal is mostly peeled off, but otherwise this "Geep" is in great shape for its age and deserves a proper spot in my collection (aka no longer a parts donor/waiting for a new shell.)

Fine running train, yellow and blue bursting through
the orange and red foliage, very nice. Even the
motor whine sounds right!

Thanks Chops!! Yeah, with the Alpine Railway project 90% done, I am now re-focusing my attention on getting more locomotives and train cars for the Ephrata Valley Railroad...as well as filming more train action on the EVRR.
