Unless you have been living under a rock, you have
probably heard of "Sasquatch" (AKA Bigfoot), a mysterious
upright walking giant primate that allegedly lives in the
wilderness areas of North America.

Most people disregard the existence of these creatures
since a specimen, living or dead, has never been officially
presented to the scientific community to be documented
(as far as we know).

Yet anecdotal evidence gathered since before Europeans
even set foot on this continent to the present day suggest
that there may be something to all of this.

As for myself, I am agnostic on the subject, i.e. I do not
blindly believe these things exist, I have never personally
seen one. However I am open to the possibility that this
could be something real.

One of the things I enjoy while working on my model railroading
projects is listening to a podcast called "Sasquatch Chronicles".

https://sasquatchchronicles.com/

This program provides a forum where eye witnesses can share
their own experiences of this phenomena to a wider audience
without facing skepticism and ridicule. As is usual to programs
of this format, the show is only as good as the people who
volunteer to be interviewed. That being said, I am convinced
that many of the witnesses who have been interviewed on this
show did see something.

Anyway, as a model railroader who is open to the idea of Sasquatch,
naturally I have to have one on my layout. My first attempt at
modeling the big guy was to use a repurposed "Chewbacca" figure
salvaged from a Millennium Falcon model....

While Chewy kind of looks like a "Squatch", he is just a pale imitation
of the real thing. Sadly this was the best I could do since I could not
find a "real" sasquatch in HO scale.

Until now that is! Check out this product I found on eBay...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/HO-scale-figure-Bigfoot-Sasquatch-Cryptid-1-87-scale/303101534251?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Naturally I had to get a true squatch for my layout!!!!
Check him out.....

I think there is a Squatch in these woods...

Here is a close up of the model on my workbench....

I especially like the midtarsal break clearly portrayed on the
lifting left foot! This is a pretty accurate representation of
what these creatures are supposed to look like!

I guess my old Chewbacca is now out of a job.

Now that I think about it, my "Chewy" kind of looks like
a hoax Bigfoot...

Maybe I should combine the two figures to represent
some shady hoaxers getting surprised by a real
squatch!
