well I found out Norand was a automated identification and data capture maker One that scanned bar codes & the like Sold to Intermec in 1997

looking closely i can see that this is a custom painted engine, i see where some paint chipped a little, and this is a tyco engine. not shore why its painted this way, but it was well done. perhaps it was a promotional display for for the business at one point.
