What is YOUR Tyco or Tyco-Mantua Holy Grail item?
As far as Tyco-Mantua, Mine would be the set T6512B,The Southern Crescent with the Green Pacific 4-6-2 decorated for the Southern Railway with four car green stripe CHROME plated passenger consist. I've got a half dozen of the Southern 4-6-2's but none of the chrome Southern passenger cars. Those cars are truly hard to find! I'd love to find a complete boxed set!

My ultimate Tyco Holy Grail Item would have to be Santa Fe RF-16A "Shark" #222-21, released in 1982. I do not have this Shark, nor have ever seen it on Ebay, so I am continuing my hunt to find it.

The Southern streamliner set is one I'm still missing, chrome and otherwise. I think the only other streamliner roadname I don't have is Canadian Pacific.

With all the saved searches I have set up, that Southern chrome set never got flagged. I googled for it but didn't find it. I did find this site, https://picclick.com, which appears to provide better searching of eBay. Has anyone used this site?

My holy grail would be a dual power truck version of the ALcos, with all wheel pickup, no traction tires, and body mounted couplers with a filled in pilot area. You wouldn't need traction tires if all wheels were driven. In other words, an upgraded TYco like Bachmann did with their GP40.
But i'd settle for a dead rail version that ran off a NiMH battery pack. It would power my track cleaning train, and eliminate the need to use a bright boy just to get the track clean enough to clean the track. This one wouldn't be hard to do as the kits to convert it are readily available. It would eliminate the need to pickup electricity from the rails, always one of Tyco's weak points.

Being a Wisconsinite there's basically no passenger Tyco passenger cars around here, especially the phase 2 ones. I did manage to find a set of the single stripe cars (with a Midnight Special shark) for the amazing price of 18 dollars!! but my actual passenger car is starting to act up again.

Funny story, I managed to sneak away with a whole 2 boxes full of track, trains and accessories for only 175 dollars!
Within that lot was a Southern Pacific shark in a.. Soo line C-430 box? Most of it there was Bachmann, Life-Like and Tyco. (red-box, only 3 pieces of it was brown box) There was one really goofy Marx set though, frame kinda broke on that though... Also got some late Tyco out of it too, (got my favorite dumping car. Timberline Logging, I don't know why I like it so much) Anyways, I still got a Southern Pacific shark out of it.
