Not a slot car guy, but this stuff is cool and works really well 40 years laterish.
Wish it would run a bit slower.

Awesome video, Chops! Whoa - I did not know that slot cars run that fast!

Love the beach Boys soundtrack,

Yes they go well and they go fast, but we need to remember, they are racing cars.....

US-1 goes a ot more slowly.

A well maintained non magnetic T jet can also go at reasonably realistic speeds.

Non-magnetic cars can also be made to go slowly as they don't bog down and require a high voltage and speed to unstick them, which magnetic ones do!

On old school model railway controllers the start voltage is often high, so the minimum speed possible is too high. Personally, I would not use the US-1 controllers AT ALL! They are rather nasty variable resistor types.

More modern controlllers suffer this a lot less. All my cars are driven from modern controllers, some are high quality modern model railway types, others are bespoke ones made for me. I wire all my connections direct to the track so no unsightly red boxes to spoil the townscape!

As a plus; Your Tyco US-1 Track is performing really well!

Good luck!

James
