* Varney made a lot of F3A and B locomotives. The only bad thing is that when purchased in a A_B_A configuration only one diesel was powered. The B and other A were unpowered. I only have 2 different lines. The list of them sold in1962-63 were. ACL, MP, PRR, B&O, FEC, RI, CB&Q, and UP. I only have B&O and FEC. Maybe others can post the missing ones. Even just an A or B to chow the paint Scheme.
Here is my B&O A-B-A set.

Fine collection, Frank. Hey, what's up with that nice looking covered bridge? Is that a Campbell?

NICE Varney F3's, Frank!
Due to the January Greenberg's Great Train and Toy Show, I now am the proud owner of my first Varney train - Burlington Route F3 A&B set. These will soon be placed into service, on the inner line, to haul freight.
Here's a fresh picture I just took tonight of the Burlington F3's, on the LTT. I'll be sure to update this thread, once this A&B set is operating on the Ephrata Valley Railroad.
UPDATED image - Now on layout!
Also, for $2, I couldn't resist picking up these Pennsy Varney F3 shells, both of which are in deplorable condition. I would love to see a Pennsy F3A in great condition, but figured I would place these here, for sake of livery.

*Chops , The covered bridge may be an Alexander model. I got it built up and it went to my son for his layout yesterday.

* ERICH, WOW! NOW THOSE ARE F3'S. LOTS OF POWER THERE. Definitely, vintage HO scale power. Will you need a larger power supply to run those four locomotives? Id' like to see and hear those run. I WOULD EXPECT LOTS OF GROWLING. FRANK

Thanks Frank!
I´l try to make all four run by DCC next month, think the DCC power supply provides enough amps.
here are one of them dcc powered (second unit is a dummy) :https://youtu.be/V95AyO7nzf4
and yes there will be much ruble in Plasticville.

Those FEC F-units are nice, though I prefer the other scheme that FEC's E units wore
(Cocoa, FL 1966)
sim-al2 Also since they cut track maintaince the trains had huge trouble making over the railroad by the end 純那 yeah They did a Rock Island volountarily
