I believe somewhere in this thread there is an excellent discourse on Triple Dome cars. The author was amused to note that there is no walkway to accompany the hand rails on these rather unique and interesting critters.
Some are harder to get than others. If you want to build a string of them, I know a antique dealer who probably has half a dozen or more NIB that he'd like to sell off.
Generally speaking, the value of any Tyco seems to fluctuate with the tides. Just recently I saw a WP GP 20 go for over $40, and the Tyco Sanka car, once retailed for $40 without box now can be had for $20 NIB.
This one going for $30. Absurd. https://www.amazon.com/Vintage-Scale-Tyco-Triple-Original/dp/B0711H5J16
and here is a NOS Coke at half that price: ww.ebay.com/itm/Tyco-HO-scale-Coca-Cola-Triple-Dome-Tank-Car-62-foot-Coke-1978-/322814217550?hash=item4b293a0d4e:g:Fp8AAOSw
I helped to sell a model train estate on Ebay couple years back, and was astonished to find a market for glass telegraph insulators, but almost no interest in NIB Athearn BB locomotives and Proto 2000 NIB.
Anything Coke and Pepsi tends to do well, but again, it seems very labile.
Somebody said the triple domes did not track well, but from what I've seen they track just fine.
We'd love to see a picture. Put one up on COTW!

The Tyco Union isn't what I would call rare, but it is a little harder to get and sells for more than the others. The SOHIO 3 dome is rare, I'd say 2 or 3 a year pass thru ebay...

I might go back to Henry and see what 3 domers he has. They are rather interesting, but would not fit a small layout- like the one Dan Mack is doing, which is darn interesting I am probably going end up copying it.

Those big Tyco tankers have value as a collector's oddity only. As far as credible freight cars go, they are at the very bottom of the list as there never was a prototype tank car built like that. Why Tyco tooled and built that thing is beyond me. That being said, I too have run across "pockets" of them at shops from time time, in groups of the same roadname. It seems when they are stored together they reproduce!

I think it is hit or miss. Sometimes multiple people are after the same item and bid it up to sky high prices, other times the item goes for a more reasonable price. I've seen the Sohio tanker go for $40-50 and other times for $10. I picked up 2 Coca-Cola 3-dome tankers still in the box at the Timonium show for $7 each. The Union tanker is the one I'm still on the lookout for and hope to find it for a reasonable price.
