What's the best way to add some weight inside my TYCO box cars that have the floor fixed to the body by plastic pins at each corner? OTTB

Those "pins" you see underneith the car are actually pegs that are a part of the car's shell. Sometimes if you are gentle, you can pry the underfame from these pegs using a small screw driver. However, on many examples of these Tyco cars the pegs are actually glued the to the underframe, if the shell does not want to come off with gently prying you may have to drill the pegs out.
After you have the shell off and add the weight, replace the shell on the underframe, if you had to drill out the pegs, you may have to drill holes into the pegs and attach the shell to the underframe with small screws.
