The proper number for the Hudson with the smoke tender is #151. The 5318 with AC drive is #200. 151 is the only Hudson with a vertical shaft motor. Also the first 12 volt DC Hudson. I do know that the smoke unit in the tender was powered 2 different ways.

A link to some info on that loco.

Actually there are 5 different HO-151 Hudsons.

1. Numbered 5318 with bellows smoke in the tender.
2. Numbered 5318 with piston smoke in the tender.
3. Unnumbered with bellows smoke in the tender.
4. Unnumbered with piston smoke in the tender.
5. Numbered 5318 with smoke unit in the locomotive.

How does the "smoke-in-tender" communicate to the exhaust stack?
