These folks have done some impressive garden modeling at the
Albuquerque Zoo. Everything ran perfectly. I was in Duke City for
the weekend, visiting my eldest daughter who has settled up there
("up" from El Paso). The two kiddos are my "Irish Twins", (born a year
apart- don't try this at home), Isabella and Jonathan. And no, they don't.
They much prefer video games.

there are 3 G scale layouts I'd do

Ridgeway Museum
Colorado Railroad Museum but all my "static" displays actually run
& a modern version of the Georgetown Loop
with the road at the bottom of canyon hehe
