* Revell may be the easiest of the old manufactures to collect because after a few years you can have a lot of what Revell has made. It any type of car whether caboose box or reefer, flat hopper or gondola, there are only a few of each made, 5 or 6 of each is the most. They are larger cars and easy to spot on a dealers table. Because of when they were made their scale is more half O scale as the original concept of HO trains was. You see it in the size of the Early 1930's and 40's Gilbert trains.
* I'll try to get my collection here is photos around 700 X 400 bits. First I'll copy all my Revell car photos into a new folder and resize each to this medium size for easy posting and good viewing.

C&O 4040
N&W 4042
CB&Q 4044
This is The Revell operation hopper also CB&Q 4044 like the last one posted. You could buy a ramp and unloader for it. this assessory came both with and without the car. Gilbert also made a operating hopper that would use the same unloader ramp. It was a black C&O #35785. It was slightly different with different railings .

Well that completes what I have. I wont post either of the 4 locomotives they made for here in the Revell section they have been done already. * Anybody is welcome to post their Revell cars here. Especially the ones I don't have. I know their are more out there.
I hope you like these photos.
Frank
PS the 4 locos are. A plastic 0-4-0t saddle tank type. Revell called it the "Yard Hog". A Die cast 0-6-0t Omaha, also a saddle taker type with chug-chug sound and smoke. A SW7 switcher diesel. A F7A diesel.

There are 3 pulpwood cars made by train set companies. Revel, Triang-ATT, and Tyco. All are nice ! I don't remember Bachmann making one. Bachmann had a 40' flat with bulkhead ends but a pipe load. I got a few of them someplace. Off hand I don't remember any more pulpwood cars. There were many log caring cars. Athearn made a 60' flat car with bulkhead ends but did not make a pulpwood load. Other companies made a assessory pulpwood load for a 60' flat car that fit the Athearn car. frank

I never wanted a Revell SW7 because the drives were unreliable . Especially the last ones made. I found a UP SW7 with what I guess is the first drive used. I never had one of these so I got it. Frank

At its worst it was still better than the PT drive locos. Here is another Revell SW7. This one is New Haven.
