I only have these instructions, but I'd really like to know
who made this kit.
For some reason, the name makes me think Roundhouse.
Guesses?
Evan

I think this instruction sheet is from a kit made by a company called Ye Olde Huff-N-Puff.

The car type would become a crane tender as seen in the plasctic Athearn or Lionel variation. Back in the early 50's you would have seen variations brought out by companies like Silver Streak, AC models, Ideal, Laconoa, Main Line Models and later Ambroid, even Varney made some wood ones. True Scale started out making wood models of different work car then changed to plastic uping the quality of the models and Train Miniature picked up the true Scale plastic line of work cars. Walters makes them now. Ye Old Huff and Puff started I think back in the 1960 and hung around for many years. They may still be making old time trains someplace. Maybe with a good online search they'll pop up again.

A drawing of a AC work car is clearly seen in the old catalog. Dont forget Ulrich also made wood kits
