Here in Oklahoma, we've gathered over 8 inches of rain in the past 5 days along with a few tornadoes thrown in for good measure. And we have more rain in the forecast for next week!

It's semi-nice out here. Some clouds but it's nice and warm, with some sunlight coming through.

I'm curious to see if any consideration is given to sending excess water from other states to California and other drought stricken states...maybe they could use oil pipelines....it's paying for the pumping that is the question, I guess.

I have no pity for California and their drought. If they stop pumping BILLIONS of gallons in the desert they would not have a water problem and Silicone Valley would not have sunk 22 feet.

80 degrees here in PA, and we could really use some snow, rain, or anything - it hasn't rained in weeks and my cat can't go outside until the chemicals get rained into the grass - he's stuck inside terrorizing my HO-scale civilians
Seriously though, snow in May... you live in a strange world, Microben.

Has nothing to do with the weather but I read a disturbing incident in Britain recently. Some young vandals destroyed model train items at a local gym in Stamford Lincolnshire England. They were at a local gym in which the youths broke in and damaged expensive equipment. Some train items were thrown thru basketball hoops like they were a ball. Those kids should be punished to the max for their horrible behavior. The items were to be shown at a meet for fellow railfans.

People are sending donations to help the model train group. Celebrities like Rod Stewart are sending money as well. Those young vandals have been caught but released on bail. They should get a public flogging at a minimum for this atrocity.

No, no, no. They should be sent to a therapy group and discuss their feelings. Just being sarcastic. Rotten little urchins, I think WKS is more on target.

Blatant careless railfans who do not check their surroundings.
Very fortunate to avoid danger.
