Check it out. Redesigned from original concept and reasonable price too!

You gotta love Kato. Seriously, they make some sweet stuff when it comes to model railroading.
-Steve

"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."

Now THAT'S cool
Don't know the cost - would probably be an arm and a leg....but I'd go for that if the $$ were available.

A small price to pay for the ability to add sound to every locomotive you own. At $279.99 you could not touch a sound equipped locomotive from Broadway Limited, MTH or Proto 2000. Plus the quality and reliability of KATO is second to none. There is a reason that KATO is the Rolls Royce of trains.

All the steam-era authenticity of a Baby Ruth mini hi-cube coupled with the hi-fi sound of a miniature rock tumbler in one convenient package? We are talking serious innovation here, man. I don't joke about things like that.
