September 2007 photos of the Pine Creek Railroad in Farmingdale NJ.

It is a three foot gauge railroad museum operating diesel engines.
Ran some steam engines years earlier on its loop track as well.

I also have prints from the 1990s to 2000s with steam operating.

In the future they may run them again.
Need funds to repair them back to operation.

Number 26 is a neat little 2-6-2. Shape of cab windows on 117 give it the look of a low-clearance cab height. Water tower looks like some kit from Kibri, Faller, or Vollmer.

Went back to Allaire State Park near Farmingdale New Jersey.

One of several golf courses that I saw during my five mile trip to the rail museum.

Nice horse grazing away near a farm house.

One of several ponds viewed during my two hour trip.

Five miles walk from Spring Lake New Jersey to the rail museum.

Finally made it to the museum site.

Looking south east.

Close up of the cute little train station.

Plenty of photograph opportunities here.

Three foot gauge. Has not run since last year. Hence the rusty rails.

Some videos I took yesterday. No train running though.

Caboose looks nice regardless of the wheel configuration.
Nice area to visit and enjoy the natural beauty of the trees.
Train models seen there on Tuesday though it was closed.

N scale layout in a train shed next to the station.

N scale Bachmann switcher repainted.

N scale Bachmann train station from the 1970s repainted in Reading Railroad colors.

Even though it was closed the window was clean for good pictures.

Camelback engine model larger than G scale also was there.

Train shed where the model trains are kept safe and secure.

Interesting equipment at the museum.

Lehigh Valley coal company 0-4-0 steam engine built in 1925 by Vulcan Iron Works.

Nice old time coach on display.

Another view of the coach.

Hopper car probably from the East Broad Top Railroad.

Another view of the hopper car.

Tank car also on their site.

Small yard next to the loop track.

Loop track has not been used for the last few months.

Looking west.

Looking east.

Snack shop currently closed.

Another view of the loop track.

The field where the train rides around.

Map of the state park.

Hikers trail next to the museum site.

Plenty of time to relax.

Plenty of pine trees.

A beautiful site regardless of the lack of a train there. I love track.

The switch leads to the small yard at the station site.

Church at Allaire State Park with the Pine Creek Railroad nearby.

Another view of the water tower and shanty.

Another view of the steam engine on display.

That steam engine on display ran in Pennsylvania for many decades.
Both in revenue and tourist railroad service.

Photo from the internet shows the engine recently cleaned.
That was in 2014 six years ago. No tape barriers at that time.

My photos of the area from yesterday. New Jersey Transit train on its North Jersey Coast Line.

I am at Spring Lake New Jersey for the start of my 13 mile round trip walk around the area.

About two miles from the train station is a cute alpaca farm.

Thank you Randy. After my visit to the alpaca farm I continued my walk to the Pine Creek Railroad.

I see pine trees on my long walk to the Pine Creek Railroad at Allaire State Park. Very appropriate during my walk.

Just a few people with their dogs on the trail. I followed strict social distance measures.

I continue my walk to the Pine Creek Railroad.

Tunnels along the route to safely cross busy highways.

Equipment seen at the museum.

Getting late so time for me to walk six miles to another New Jersey Transit train station.

Cute white church near the Pine Creek Railroad.

Trail was a former Pennsylvania Railroad branch line.

Got dark as I walked towards Manasquan New Jersey.

The same location as well few hours earlier. Just slightly further from the tunnel in the daylight photo. Like night and day.

I am at the Manasquan New Jersey train station. One station south of the Spring Lake station I started with much earlier.
Total of at least 13 miles of me walking on a cloudy but fun day by the New Jersey coast. Comfortable temperatures for January.
