John, I don't remember how long ago it was, but when I saw that Aerotrain power unit, it was sitting in the dead line (behind the automobile display building, I think), unrestored, and much more interesting in my opinion, since it was still showing clues of its history.

In some sense, I guess it's kind of a pun that a locomotive in Lubbock Texas has such prominent rear view mirrors. I once thought happiness was my rearview mirror in Lubbock Texas.

Glenn, You are right! It is wrong on both sides too. I looked it up on line and when it was active at least one pictures shows it was backwards then. I guess the guy put the stencil wrong.
I guess that proves that there is a prototype for everything.

major flooding happened in Lusk, Wyoming on June 3-4 & because of this: http://www.wyoroad.info/highway/webcameras/US85LuskOverpass/US85LuskOverpass.html Thats the UP underpass at Lusk All roads in & out of Lusk are closed! http://www.wyoroad.info/highway/webcameras/US1820CulvertWashout/US1820CulvertWashout.html Yes it does look like the road is higher on one side but its not! I should mention That because of the flood the Niobrara River runs thru there now 2 dams broke during the tremendous thunderstorm Also the river starts near Manville,WY

The Fort Worth and Western's livery has the unfortunate appearance of reporting marks that have been marked through after a unit has been retired.

I discovered this shortline RR on a recent road trip for a car show in Champaign Illinois. Since my freelance shortline is the Lincoln Champaign and Peoria I might have to paint a couple of geeps in this scheme for interchange with my shortline.

Victorian Railways Y class (EMD G6B) near Southern Cross Station, Melbourne. Known for recycling their trucks from scrapped electric suburban passenger cars, the last batch of these shunters (Y151 through Y175) also had the only V6 EMD 645's on the planet! Y101 through Y150 had a V6 567C.
Y129 looking a little worse for wear in a faded 15 year old livery in August 21 2011, with another Y class and some Vlocity railcars in the background.
Of course, being in Melbourne city on that day I had to snap the obligatory W class tram the same day, photo taken one minute earlier at 11:44 on the La Trobe Street bridge. Bonus points for the round number, tram 1000 was actually the last of the W6 sub-class, with numbers 1001 through 1040 being the W7, which were the very last W class trams to be made.
