How about a post devoted to dream meets. This is meets by trains that you would like to see together if they could have occurred or not.

An NYC streamlined hudson racing a PRR streamlined K4, and losing.
A Pennsy Q2 versus a UP Big Boy - IIRC, the Q2 was more powerful by a bit.
The Pennsy FF1 versus... well, anything really... noone knows how powerful it was since the thing just tore apart anything they put it next to. It had a nasty habit of rolling boxcars into little balls and spitting them out when they put it in pusher service.
Alaska RR SD70's coupled to FEC ones... I always thought that was so funny, the two littlest railroads to buy SD70's, they both put them in exactly the same paint scheme just by chance, and they're literally as far apart as American railroads can possibly get.
A UP gas turbine and a GG1. I dunno why. The loudest and the quietest superpowers? The shortest-lived and the longest-lived? Ugh, I should stop rambling. Never mind

Those are some great ideas guys. How about a meet between the N&W Jawn Henry turbine and the UP mega coal turbine with an Alco PA for a cab unit.

The impressionistic painters of the late 19th century were painting light, not images. I got a similar effect by putting my thumb over the lens. Required less talent, also, for a dream-like image.

Decided to revive this topic. I was staging some photos when it suddenly occurred to me that this very meet could actually happen in the near future. Doyle McCormick has already succeeded in recreating an Alco PA-1 in Nickel Plate Road colors and the next one to be done will be in Santa Fe warbonnet colors. This could happen guys...really!

The Daylight 4449 (USA) and Flying Scotsman (British). Both of which I have models of.I'll try to post them on the layout but for now here's some pictures of the actual models non running.

"A lot of modellers out there who go to these train shows see broken HO stuff and go, 'This is useless' when, in reality, they can still be used for modeling whether it's as a prop on your layout or a cool project to make something old new again."

The link below is a small bit that will be part of a spoof video: "Honest Sam's Problem, or How Conrail Saved the Day."
