My fourth and final layout is in O scale and shown on a basement carpeted floor. It has a sentimental and somewhat fantasy setting since it represents some of our memories of what life can look like in a near perfect stage. It does not reflect the realistic scenes that our fellow members have created on their layouts but still creates a nostalgic feel for the hobby we all cherish. . . . . . . . . . .

I really like the colours on that blue and white subway(?) car. The set-up is neat as well.

It's not a white subway car, it's light blue with white in the middle area of it.

If we want to get technical, I think it's aqua in colour.

That's pretty much what light blue is. It's aqua.

Actually, Aqua can be a more greenish blue. Light blue is, well, light blue. Aqua is the addition of some green tint to the blue sometimes, like Teal. It is kinda vague, Googling Aqua, some come up bluish, other with a more minty green tinge. It seems to be a variable with that name. Either way it's attractive. Is it a streetcar, or Tram?

My best guess is that it's a subway car.

The blue and white car is a New York City subway car model R36 which ran from the 1960s to 2000s. It is shown in its first color livery and is next to another NYC car model R17 which ran in the 1950s thru 1980s. . These new photos were taken in my backyard. . . . . . . . . . . .

Very nice holiday layout. I especially like the Mach 5 parked at the station. Mach 5 versus Gt-40 would be an interesting match

That's the CHARM and heritage of Lionel....
IT DOESN'T MATTER!! It's all good, and it's all correct - because Lionel !!!
VERY NICE! Makes me want to dig up some of my Lionel/Marx/MTH 3-rail tinplate, and have some FUN.

Oh, wow, those mega vintage carts and dollies, that I could see forking out $150 for, that is pure Americana at its best. Please educate me, how does that rusted out loco command 150 clams??? Is it worth more restored or as is?

Jeff, how does a scale Hudson without a tender hook up to tinplate couplers. I think J got his work cut out him. Those O scale hudson's go for big bucks. look at Richie. He's running his trains in the dark with flashlight or that little LED light on his phone. First time I viewed it I wondered where did he got all that red grass from. frank

That my friend is a 773 1950 Hudson Last time I could have gotten one AT THAT PRICE(Plus onehundred more) WITH tender was 1983 missed it
It is still as you see it No tender missing Cow catcher rear truck some ornamentation when restored it will be worth three times what I paid for o\it however A tender which sells for 175 to 250 will be a factor here
The marker lights are ON IT(A reason I grabbed it) Also was a Lionel M=10,0000 but needed a lot of bodywork (damp Basement) plus got one already Got this with other stuff for 650.00 including a estate house landscaped a boxed 646 and some other odds and ends including the Tyco Civil War train from 1961 been sold
Three yeras ago could have bought aboxed 1964 version (In fact it was PART of the set from 1964 sans tender HOWEVER the components (including the tender )were stolen before the sale 9did manage to find the paperwork) The loco was not WITH THE ST price MISSING cow catcher 800.00 just 100.00 more then my car insurance payment at the time
Early Christmas presents still being paid off

Thanks Jeff. Some more videos with a special guest.
She spent more time grooming herself than watching the train.
Did not seem nervous about the train.
She is too big to ride the train.

Photos of my newly christened Lancaster and Montauk Scenic Railroad.
From the fertile Lancaster farmlands to the pristine Montauk waters. Need a lot of imagination on this bedroom floor layout.
