Just took this pic of the residential section of my layout minus one home that will go here too. Hopefully one day I will take time and detail this section.

The FREEZE rules. Iconic, I've seen places just like here in Massachusetts and in Tularosa, New Mexico, where it is called the "Tuli-Freeze."

Yes, Chops... The old ice cream stores are really cool. My home towm has an old building that still operates today It is known for it's footers that it has served since I was a boy.
Nice kit, Bus! I have had mine quite a few years and was bought as a boxed sealed kit. I had the freezee on my layout in the 1970's. An old favorite for sure! Here's a shot of my McDonalds, also taken 2/25/2008. Must have had them out taking pics on this day's eve. This was a sealed box with a price sticker on it which I attached to the box.

Sweet pickings! That I beam flat is particularly interesting, and hope it will make the COTW soon. Never seen that. Are these newly found in the collection or new purchases?
It's nice that you extended the yards so that you can see your amazing collection- mine are in card board boxes, and it is the deuce to find anything.

Thank You, Chops! That I beam flat car is the boxed one that I got from you sometime back. I think I have all of my cars on the tabletop now. Those pictured are ones that has been stuck in a drawer for ages!

I actually just picked up the Kelloggs hopper by Tyco that has the extra RED lettering. I don't know why I had to have one of these... https://www.ebay.com/itm/333677827770

Trying something new here. Bought this 1/8 inch thick board which is the same as my slot car track. This is for the base to put the buildings on. This section does not have the 'curbs" unless I need to add them in spots. Several buildings on this piece so I will just have to think it out, what goes where...

Yes, I don't know the details but it has been mentioned many times on here that the Freezee was the fromer McDonalds kit. I was fotunate enough to get both new sealed kits several years ago. I like them both! And they are just down the street from each other in Tycoville!

Cut and testfitted my base to the Exxon, McDonalds , Baskin Robbins and more. Some sanding on edges and likely will coat this in the matt black for asphalt parking lots. May do some concrete around the exxon ... Just have to think about all of it.

One of my cats, Stitch, lives in our basement with 4 new kittens a few weeks old. However I got a surprise when I went to the train layout a couple of nights ago!! Thank God, for the cover assembly that I made for the set up.

Thank You soo much, RP... I love the Tyco piggybacks and the slot cars both. It's like reliving my childhood, only much bigger! I wish, that I would spend more time with my layout. I find myself late at night , just going to the basement to look at this stuff. It's a joy to have and for years wondered if I would ever have room for my planned Tycoville. I had boxes of trains , etc from 1999 till 2013 before having this space!

A tonight's photo of the farm area on one part of my layout. It's 4 feet from the first rails to the slot car track. Two feet wide. A total of 8 square feet and I have quite a bit of farm pieces including animals. This was a section that my first wife wanted from 1999. I kept the idea and the space for it. The Farm House can be seen in the one photo.

Actually, Robert. The green was a little too loud. I have been painting over it with a mild medium green as I go. Plus, it will all be eventually covered with something!

Both Tyco bridge & trestle sets come in today's mail. I bought them complete only to use these pieces on two bridges. After messing with them a bit, I may only use two of the 3 pieces as shown. I don't need much elevation here...

Neat idea, to keep the bridges lower and the grade easier. Can't wait to see your progress, Walt.

Although you probably didn't have them on your original layout, I'd love nothing more than to see you pick up a few US-1 trucks.
I think they'd look beautiful on your layout. At least the fire engine, as you have the fire chiefs car and that red rescue van.

I had pretty much ended my train/slots in 1976 when I got my drivers license. Of course the US-! trucks come out after that. I did recently buy one to make a track cleaner out of.. The fire truck would be cool at the Tycoville Fire House, but I always thought the truck looked a bit odd.

I went down and counted my rolling stock on my table and found closely 228. I have a few pieces in one of my drawers that need wheel trucks or a horn hooks. Guess I needed all the room that I built.
