* More Varney or like life like than Penn line. Full domes that were made after Penn-Line demise had matching paint schemes. Not that it matters. They look great running together.

I've got some Penn Line stuff, too. It's a lot of 4 Pennsylvania coaches. They're kinda stiff, though, so pretty much all my trains struggle to pull them.

Try a drop on oil on the axel points. They will loosen up.

You sure? Penn Line certainly seems to have produced a shorty Full Dome that looks a good bit like the shells I have.

I have a couple of shorty full dome shells apparently produced by Penn Line:

The one on the left sadly fell victim to a bit of clumsiness on my part while I was wearing shoes, and so it has a crack in the roof. At least it will mostly be hidden when I paint them.

They're nice pieces. A lot of model dome cars I've seen (including the other two I own, one of which is an O.K. models shorty and IDK who made the other) mold the top of the dome as though it has windows, when on the real deal the top was solid roof.

That is one car I would love to have in the New Haven Paint scheme. Sadly I do not believe they were ever produced that way. Althopugh, the set I have are heavyweights, none the less, they would be neat!

Looks to me like it is a Rivarossi coupler which has that reverse step up design. No... it is not upside down.

Since I got those 2 passenger cars I have not used them yet so haven't noticed if they have problems yet. Still looking for other cars. coach and observation. I do have a Gilbert NP F7a to pull it. A good matching loco.

The Penn Line Northern Pacific Passenger equipment was decorated at Boyertown by Penn Line. Fleischmann sold Penn Line scores of factory second PRR passenger cars.
