Here's my pile of goodies from the show. Got a nice box of mostly Athearn (I think) trucks, a few metal sprung one in there too as well as a sprung arch bar truck (anyone can use one let me now and it's yours). Some handy Kadee couplers and related for cheap. A decent Morton Salt hopper, a new condition Wells Fargo, a nice Athearn Monon boxcar missing a coupler for $2...and a complete Tyco autoloader with Camaros and Javelins.
AND last but not least, a decent Howard Johnson's and a workable 7-11.
Will post some pics of the show tomorrow, was a lot of fun.

Great! Then you can send that instead of the boxcar you've been sending me for the last 6 months

Here's a handful of pictures from the train show in Clifton Forge, VA. In its heyday was a major railroad town for the C&O - still not a bad spot to watch CSX trains but really just a shadow of itself now.
The steam engine was part of an ill-fated plan to run a luxury train between the Greenbrier at White Sulphur Springs WV and Washington DC. AFAIK, millions of dollars of the Greenbrier owner, Jim Justice, went to rebuilding an entire trainset of luxury passenger cars already - as well as the locomotive. Plans were stalled by Federal regulations/red tape. If it is indeed dead or still has hope I don't know, I imagine Googling it would find some interesting articles.
I caught an old C&O 'piggyback' trailer that I used to see by the hundreds speeding through Charleston. An old Studebaker was visiting, could not ignore that. The inside of the freight house is filled with artifacts and a huge O-scale layout depicting the Kanawha subdivision. A picture of the old Charleston station is there (still operational).

real cool but I'll admit the steam loco does look odd with ditch lights on it
But I'd do that to a steam loco IF I got one

You get a boxcar too with the sign

So that's how 614 looks today. The green livery is nice, tho a little hard to get used to after riding so many trips with her in basic black.

I love that live steam Atlantic, and I'm drooling over the 605 and the Allegheny!

Yep those ditch lights do look a little out of place, and I prefer the original paint as well - but I guess if you're Jim Justice you can paint it like you want
Would love to see it running again though in any color!
