Becoming enthralled by John Allen's Gorre & Daphetid last year and having read "the book," I decided Emma the Stegosaurus was enough of an excuse for me to include dinosaurs on the Ephrata Valley.
I bought this Triceratops "toy" at Dollar Tree, and decided to customize it - this is the first plastic animal "model" I've ever painted....
The "after" photos - I think I'm the most proud of my green/brown spray paint 2 tone skin/scale color. Titus the Triceratops will be making his way onto the EV, right beside Theodore the T-Rex (not custom.)

If you're modeling the Jurassic Period, second generation diesels and later are anachronistic.

That triceratops looks awesome RP! The two-toned “scheme” looks realistic (for a reptile anyway, I’ve never actually seen a real triceratops ), and detailing the toes and horns with white also helps, but those reptilian eyes really make it!

My accessories of the week:
All this stuff came in this box. I have a 33-piece bridge and trestle set in need of a box - now it has one. I have more than one Tyco bridge in need of the end clips (the grey pieces in the second picture). The 9” straight sections are ‘70s vintage Tyco, which I think is cool. The rerailer with the white piece is an Atlas dead-end uncoupler, and the 30° crossing is AHM. The way the crossing is made, it appears you’d have to be careful when laying your track to avoid a short circuit!

I always enjoy seeing vintage brass track, especially Tyco. The old heads will swear up and down and scoff at brass, but once cleaned I found brass to work just fine. For that lovely, burnished, rusty look I just love it.
You and I have had some very interesting discussions about Dinosauria, RP, and this is taking it "out of the box," or to a different level. I love it. Can't beat a dinosaur for a good photo bomb.

I agree, brass track is the best. That X-track is quite something.
Thanks, Chops! I remember now, yes, we did have some good discussions regarding dinosaurs some time ago. I'm just surprised and proud of how well Titus Triceratops turned out considering I've never tried customizing a plastic animal before, and yes, both dinos will make for great video and photo bombs.
