Got the idea to put one of my junk GP20 shells to good use....I had already stripped it of all usable parts, so I fired-up the heat gun, and melted the plastic to produce this wrecked GP20. I then mounted it on a flat car, and used twine as rope to secure it down. Looks pretty good, although I do plan on adding more details to the flat car such as wheels, etc, and possibly to the shell, to make it appear burned.

It looks a little too mashed and bent to my eyes. But an interesting load nonetheless. Nice work!

Priceless!
I model this problem all too often, with little effort on my part.

What in the world happened to this one??? Looks like a karate chop from below.
They pulled her out of the basement and put her back in service. True.

I kind of have to agree with Alex, as it may be a little bit too mangled. Nice work on getting it to that conditon!

Yeah, it is a mangled a bit more than it should be....but I have plenty more junk shells to choose from, so I'll keep at it.

I looked and looked to see if I could find a twisted wreck, but I guess these locomotive frames were insanely tough. That being said, the Durango load instantly communicates that which it is: a wrecked locomotive. A more ‘prototypical’ view would be a little harder to understand as the damage would normally be a lot less, unless it was reduced to pieces. So, my little vote is that it is perfect as stands.
