Here's my COTW offering:
The Tyco 3-dome Shell tanker, the only 3-dome car in my roster, seen here as part of mixed freight hauled by a single Pennsylvania RR FA. Actually, the car in front of the Shell tanker is the Champion SparkPlug box car from Chops, an awesome HO-Scale car, and yet, not so wise decision-making by the engineers, to have it placed directly in front of the Shell tanker.

Always did enjoy those six axle behemoths. I notice there is a bit of patina on the wheel treads, so she has been in no small revenue service. The great thing about these cars is the handrails with platform below. Terrific piece of Tycomania, well done!

Good to the last drop, is my COTW contribution . LOL! Finally found not one, but TWO of these at a local train show, the other my train shop co-worker got. Only $10. Not my brand of coffee anymore, actually started out on Sanka, which is what my Mother drank. I've moved on.

Nice tanker and box! Mine is my first "International" Tyco purchase. A Victorian Railways (Australia) Tyco Wide Vision caboose. there are 3 Aussie cabooses, the other 2 are streamlined. I've also seen a picture of a VR crane (Tyco) that looked authentic.

Fabulous caboose, DM, those Australian Tyco pieces are enormously intriguing. I mean, did they wake up one day in New Jersey and say, "Hey, let's hit the Australian market?" I think of Australia I think of the Outback, Kangaroos, and giant frogs, not model trains, least of all North American Tyco.
Saw one on the TF, had to have it. My Eggo. L'eggo.

the thing about that Victorian Railways caboose or brake van as they were commonly called there Is that the real VR never had a USA type caboose!

That's interesting, Busss. Again, how in the world did the Tyco management decide to bust into the Australian market? Canada, I can understand, but Australia? I mean, it's a fine democracy and all, but it is on the other side of the world!

Yeah, that is strange that Tyco would model Australia....perhaps it was because they had colorful railroad liveries? http://tycotrain.tripod.com/tycotrains/id71.html

My Tyco Sohio tanker. I noticed after taking the pic that the rails are out of place. They snap right back in...
