My LOTW for this week is a Mantua WARR General. This one was a nice find as it still has the cloth insulated wire and the tender trucks are brass instead of base metal. It is headed for the shops for a restoration and return to service.
The USMRR has just gotten out of the shops and is now ready to run supplies and men to the front down in the south.

My LOTW is a Roco-made Atlas SD24 in B&O blue. When I got this, I noticed there were B&O decals that came with the loco, and I realized what the original owner was trying to do. He was trying to make a B&O SD7, and I'm planning to finish it. I'll post the finished product in a future LOTW. It actually runs quite well, aside from the noise.

Ooooo, an American type with red pilot wheels. The USMR came out freakin' nice. Did it get all new paint? How did you get that pin striping on the tender?
B&O super nice. I am looking forward to seeing it shoving loads in your switching yard, Stephen.

Thanks. The loco got a complete restore. The "sticker" on the tender is the original as placed by Mantua. I figured out how to redo them and leave the sticker intact.

One like above that I found at a recent sale. I could not believe what excellent condition it was in when I got it, a true gem!
Even has the same road number as the prototype picture

Walthers Alco FA. I converted it to DCC and added LED's this weekend. I have another A and B unit ot convert and eventhough it will look weird in my West Railroad themed layout, they sure do look nice.

Thanks Frank. I made a color chart with every color I have so that it makes matching the colors easier. Just place the edge of the color chart on top of the piece and it gives you a good look at each color.

Thanks Chops. Looks quite impressive all lashed up with the other A and B unit. All three are powered so they can really pull whatever I hook up to them.

Thanks Frank. Actually, it is as close a match to the original color as I could get. I'm trying to keep these restorations as close as possible to the original colors that Mantua used.
That LV would look good in any setting. Nice loco.

Digging around the PC archives, I located this shot of a triple header of some of PC babes pulling some overly long consist. The lead engine is a dummy that has a video camera installed in the headlight:
A head end view of the Club video locomotive:
Which transmits to a receiver:
The creator of the video F7 is John Nemeth. My only claim to fame is sticking it on the end of my PC power. Photo dates to November 2014.
OOPS, I quadruple dipped. Sorry. I thought I was on the other side. Took me forever to upload the images, so I'll let it stand.

I think I like metalsmith's B&O Mantua Pacific the best out of all these. I'd love to see it in video
