Yes, cool. I assume they have fiber optics running from the light bulbs to the vehicle headlights?

Ore dump station. Latest installment of my ongoing attempt to integrate operating accessories (which I like a lot) with semi scale. Trying to improve its realism by building a freight platform and a coal shed around it. Idea is to use this with the LL general store, the two scrapbox MDC tanks, and my scratchbuilt coal bin for a coal-feed-lumber dealer. Wood is from a bag o basswood bought at Michaels' craft store.

Those coal yard buildings are classics. The plans can be found in an old Kalmbach book on "Easy to Build Model Railroad Structures." That's a nice book. It has a wealth of scratchbuilding techniques from the days when much more had to be done from scratch.

sez to drill holes with a hot wire or a No. 74 drill bit but LEDs would work better

That enclosure looks like it could be quite convincing. Please show a photo or two when you finish it.

Alrighty then, here is an add on to my other post. PM me, I might just have an extra unloader I can unload on you. No sense in it collecting dust in my parts box.
By the way, WKS, that is a primo night shot.
Double post always welcome. I have a dull job, mostly, so I am always seeing what's up on the TF. Until IT shuts me down.
I tried building that track plan on the cover using Bachmann Easy Track, thought it would fit. It didn't. Little wonder the guys at Tyco incorporated so many track rerailers into the scheme, being how poorly Tyco tracks. I thought about replacing my Tyco plastic wheels with metal wheels, but only do it with extreme cases.

I love what you have done with this classic operating accessory. I really like these things too. quote:Ore dump station. Thanks! I finished it while the forum was down. :)
The wheel stops are cut from Bachmann N scale over-under trestle piers (steel style).

Very nice Autobus. Your paint color choices really bring it to life. Cool idea with the wheel stops.
