Took photos of the Stourbridge Railroad yesterday in Hawley PA. BL2 engine and replica old car in Hawley make for an interesting day.

Those are some very nice photos, I gotta say. Not to mention, it's good to see that there's still a number of railroads that use BL-2's (I find them to be quite odd little buggers).

These photos are from 1996 and 1999. Coaches were painted green back in the day.

Yeah, I kinda wonder about that thing, too. It looks rather unique.

The passenger car is an original coach which ran on the Pennsylvania Coal Company Railroad sometime in the 1850s. I read they had service between Hawley and Scranton PA. The car has been dormant but restored since 1915 in Hawley at various sites. It has been at the present site since 1966.
More photos from my trip in 1996. Perhaps other members have photos of this wonderful railroad to share here.

Thanks for posting those photos, BL-2s are one of my weirdly favorite locomotives. One day I must visit that railroad for a ride.

This thread kinda popped up, and I'd not seen it before. Looks like a little bit of heaven on Earth, particularly that shot of the stream in the background. Those river shots make me want to dive in. First rate composition.
Also, I was unaware that the BL2, one of my favorites, too, could be run in that configuration.
That passenger coach looks to be First Gen Steam. Oh, if the walls could only speak. What an absolute gem. Check out those amazing bogies. This must have been a strap iron runner.

Some nice videos on YouTube.
Not mine but I want to advertise this railroad. I am sure that some people live near there. Can combine this one and nearby Steamtown. Steamtown is located in nearby Scranton. Nice weekend trip with nearby train stores.
