All I have to say is, for what it looks to be (brass) it's my too bad when it comes to pricing.

Clearly built for a railroad with no overpasses nor through truss bridges. I wonder what possessed the modeler to put those towering smoke stacks on it.

Don The smoke stacks look like parts off the Titanic. I think the body is kit-bashed with MDC box-cabs, Regards, John

Yeah, now that you mention it, I can see it. Pretty cool, an extended boxcab.

I hope the builder had fun building that; I know I would have!

Put Baldwin trucks under that thing, maybe dual can motors... looks like an absolute BEAST to me. Paint the whole thing gloss black and let 'er run. Pity though that we don't have a picture of the ends, because I can't tell what those little orange bits are.

Yeah I agree - that thing is wacky but it's got something going for it too. I like it. As for why the builder used those 4 towering stacks - I would guess he had been wanting to use them for something for years, and he finally found a spot for them!
BTW, reading the listing, I think the orange things are winches.

Someone's use for a brass FP45 drive that was converted to run an Athearn drive likely for better performance.

It's actually a plastic Mehano FP45 chassis painted gold.

He put an old Athearn Jet motor in it, which is easy enough since Mehano copied Athearn's universals. I would have laid the motor on it's side, tho, to give the shafts a straight line. Pretty creative, but the inner axles on each truck are unpowered which makes them slippery without traction tires.
